Dr. Shafer-Ray received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. During her training, she did externships at the Philadelphia Zoo, the Animal Medical Center of New York, and at a mixed animal practice in Window Rock Arizona. After working in Los Gatos, California, Dr. Shafer-Ray moved to Norman. In 1997, when her oldest son was eighteen months old, she founded Main St. Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Shafer-Ray enjoys aspects of practice including surgery, geriatrics, working up challenging cases, and caring for small non-dog and cat pets. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her boys, playing with her pets, doing yoga, watching basketball, traveling, running, and marveling at art.
SARA BROWN, DVM
Dr. Brown was born and raised in Antlers Oklahoma. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 from Oklahoma State University. She has a special interest in animal behavior. She lives in Norman with her Yorkie, Murphy, and her Sheltie, Tag. She is passionate about agility and practices at Canine Sports Academy. She is also a part of OK paws K9 Sports Club.
ANDREA MONISMITH, DVM
Dr. Monismith was born and raised in Oklahoma City. She attended Oklahoma State University where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She practiced in Texas for 4 years, and in Missouri for 3 years before returning to Oklahoma to work at Main Street Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Monismith has a special interest in surgery and feline medicine. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, running half marathons, and cooking. She and her husband David share their home with their cats Cosmo, Noah, Nigella, and Gato Drakkar Noir.
Cassidy has been working in veterinary medicine since 2010. She has a soft spot for disabled and elderly rescues, and currently has two of her own. Her pets include a deaf/blind double merle named Angel, and a rehabilitated, "hit by car", Meela. She is a jeep enthusiast, and enjoys driving trails, road trips, yoga, gardening, and spending time with her family in Moore, Oklahoma.
Stephanie joined MSVH in 2005. She graduated from Murray State College and received her Registered Veterinary Technician degree in 1998. In her spare time, Stephanie teaches Zumba. She also enjoys family and dog time. She is a member of OVTA.
Seth joined the MSVH team in November of 2010 as a kennel assistant. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in zoology in May of 2014 and is now a veterinary assistant. In his free time Seth trains for triathlons.
Krystyne has been passionate about working in veterinary medicine since 2009 Her favorite breed is the whippet, and she currently has two. She also has cats and tropical fish. She resides in Norman, and enjoys weight lifting with her husband in her time off.
Caitlin has been with MSVH since May of 2013. She started as a kennel attendant and has more recently become a veterinary assistant. Caitlin also attends school at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Madison joined MSVH in December of 2014 as a kennel attendant. She has become our Lead Receptionist. In her spare time she enjoys going to Oklahoma State University games. She also enjoys spending time with her beautiful rescue dog, Sadie.
Camila rejoined the MSVH team in 2021 after relocating here from Colorado. She enjoys helping out in all areas of the hospital, and continuing to learn about veterinary medicine.
She has 1 cat and dog. She is majoring in Chemical Biosciences with a minor in Native American Studies. In her spare time, she loves to hike, travel and bake.
Started with us in fall of 2018. She is a biology pre-vet major. She loves reading and running.
Lead RVT/Inventory Manager
Shelly started at MSVH in the summer of 2003. Shelly graduated from Oklahoma State University-OKC, and received her Registered Veterinary Technician degree in 2005. She currently lives in Moore with her husband, 2 children, 2 cats and beautiful Golden Retreiver. She is a member of OVTA.
Holly began her career in Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She then graduated in 2009 from Oklahoma State University-OKC with an Associate Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She currently lives in Norman with her husband Mark whom she married in June of 2013. She has 6 cats, 5 guinea pigs, 3 rats and 1 dog. She loves crafting, writing, cooking and playing with her 2 grandchildren. She is a member of NAVTA and OVTA.
Taylor was born in California. She has a degree from Oklahoma State University in Physiology. In her spare time, she really enjoys biking, reading and yoga. She has 1 dog and 1 cat and lives with her husband.
Kirsten started working at MSVH in June of 2020. She has a background in rescue and emergency medicine, and is passionate about helping animals. She currently resides in Norman with her 2 dogs, and a cat named, Mister Rogers.
Haleigh has three mixed breed dogs named, Reggie, Duck, and Tiki. She is excited to continue working in vet medicine and eager to help in all areas. Haleigh loves going to the lake and riding horses in her down time.
Marissa joined the MSVH family in 2020. She enjoys showing her service dog, Sullivan, who doubles as our clinic cheerleader. She also raises chickens in her free time.
Carmon is a student at the University of Oklahoma. She has a dog named Sammie, and a cat, Strawberry. When she's not working, she enjoys thrift shopping and working out.
Alicia grew up in El Reno and has been working with animals since 2019. She lives in Oklahoma City with her Australian Shepherd, Krissi, and a tabby cat named, Miss Dean. In her spare time, she enjoys fresh water scuba diving around Oklahoma.
