OUR VETERINARIANS
KERRY SHAFER-RAY, VMD
Dr. Shafer-Ray received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. During her training, she did externships at the Philadelphia Zoo, the Animal Medical Center of New York, and at a mixed animal practice in Window Rock Arizona. After working in Los Gatos, California, Dr. Shafer-Ray moved to Norman. In 1997, when her oldest son was eighteen months old, she founded Main St. Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Shafer-Ray enjoys aspects of practice including surgery, geriatrics, working up challenging cases, and caring for small non-dog and cat pets. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her boys, playing with her pets, doing yoga, watching basketball, traveling, running, and marveling at art.
SARA BROWN, DVM
Dr. Brown was born and raised in Antlers Oklahoma. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 from Oklahoma State University. She has a special interest in animal behavior. She lives in Norman with her Yorkie, Murphy, and her Sheltie, Tag. She is passionate about agility and practices at Canine Sports Academy. She is also a part of OK paws K9 Sports Club.
ANDREA MONISMITH, DVM
Dr. Monismith was born and raised in Oklahoma City. She attended Oklahoma State University where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She practiced in Texas for 4 years, and in Missouri for 3 years before returning to Oklahoma to work at Main Street Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Monismith has a special interest in surgery and feline medicine. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, running half marathons, and cooking. She and her husband David share their home with their cats Cosmo, Noah, Nigella, and Gato Drakkar Noir.

Shelly
Lead RVT/Inventory Manager
Shelly started at MSVH in the summer of 2003. Shelly graduated from Oklahoma State University-OKC, and received her Registered Veterinary Technician degree in 2005. She currently lives in Moore with her husband, 2 children, 2 cats and beautiful Golden Retreiver. She is a member of OVTA.
Jessica
RVT
Jessica graduated from OSU-OKC in 2005 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has two cats, three dogs, and volunteers with animal rescue in her free time. Jessica enjoys reading, gardening, and refinishing furniture. She received the Volunteer of the Year award in Norman, Oklahoma for 2021.
Colby
Kennel Attendant
Colby grew up in Oklahoma City, and is currently living in Yukon with his dog, Lola. He is a student at OSU-OKC where he is studying for his Veterinary Technology degree. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, and taking care of his Crested Geckos, Blue Tongued Skinks, and Western Hognose Snakes.
Kat
Technician Manager/RVT
Kat joined MSVH in September 2021. She grew up in Norman but has lived and worked in the city since 2006. She started in Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and graduated from OSU-OKC with her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2011. Her passion is for Avian, Exotic, and Non-Domestic Species medicine. In her spare time, she teaches as an Adjunct Instructor for the Veterinary Technology program at OSU-OKC and has a small side business. You may also find her at Oklahoma Mustang (Car) Club events, or the track where her partner drives his Mustang. She has 2 dogs currently and 4 Leopard Tortoises. She is a member of ARAV, AEMV, AAV, OVTA and NAVTA.
Holly
RVT
Holly began her career in Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She then graduated in 2009 from Oklahoma State University-OKC with an Associate Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She currently lives in Norman with her husband Mark whom she married in June of 2013. She has 6 cats, 5 guinea pigs, 3 rats and 1 dog. She loves crafting, writing, cooking and playing with her 2 grandchildren. She is a member of NAVTA and OVTA.
Nicole
Veterinary Assistant
Nicloe is originally from the Pacific Northwest, she moved to Oklahoma in 2001, where she lives with her 4 fur babies. She Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. In her free time you can find her at an OU football game or in St. Louis watching the Blues play hockey
